Agbamevorza is the kente festival of the people of the Agotime traditional area (Agotime-Ziope District), with communities in Ghana and Togo and a grand durbar at Kpetoe (Graphic Online, 2016). Accounts describe durbars of chiefs displaying kente, a weavers' competition and a 'Miss Kente' pageant, and state that it is celebrated because Agotime people claim to have introduced kente weaving.
The Agbamevor-Za is held in the Agotime area.
