Week-long path-clearing festival of communities in the Central Region. Its name means 'path-clearing' and commemorates the ancestors clearing paths to rivers, farms and communal places when they settled. It is held annually around August, with durbars, music, dance and reunions.
During Akwambo the paths to the river are cleared.
