Title of the supreme military commander of the Anlo (Aŋlɔ) state. Chapman's 1944 account of the Anlo constitution lists the Awadada as 'Head of Anlo Military Organization' and states that the military divisions of all the dukowo (divisions) of the state are under the supreme command of the Awadada of Anlo Akuaku, each unit being led by its own Awalogomefia (wing commander). The Awadada sat on the Anlo State Council alongside the Awoamefia.
In the Anlo state, the Awadada held supreme command over the military divisions of all the dukowo.
