Bolewura is the title of the chief of Bole, one of the Gonja divisions whose chiefs are eligible in rotation for the Yagbonwura skin. Within Bole the title rotates among three gates, recorded as Wulasi (Safope), Kiape (Jagape) and Sikiri (Denkeripe); by local custom a candidate first passes through the Mandari skin.
The Bolewura presided over the Damba celebrations in Bole.
