A recreational dance and music genre of the northern and central Ewe, developed in the mid-twentieth century around Kpando and Ho. It uses brass-band and highlife harmonies over Ewe drumming, with dancers circling and waving white handkerchiefs. Borborbor is strongly associated with church and women's groups.
Borborbor groups in matching cloth lead the procession through Kpando.
