'Ruins', and the plural of dabɔɣu, 'ruin, deserted compound' (Naden). The word appears in the name of Yendi Dabari, the archaeological site that Shinnie and Ozanne excavated in 1961.
Archaeologists surveyed the dabari at the edge of the old settlement.
