Oracle deity whose shrine is at Krachi (Kete-Krachi). Maier (1981) shows that the Dente priest used the shrine's oaths and consultation fees to lead the Bron Confederation, a group of provinces that seceded from Asante in 1875 and remained independent until British and German takeover in the mid-1890s.
The Dente oracle at Krachi was consulted widely in the nineteenth century.
