The electoral body of a Ga stool. Field (1940) writes that every Ga stool has a dzase and a dzasetse, the dzase being formed by senior members of the royal houses from which a mantsɛ is chosen; she notes Ga speakers often call it the mantsebii instead. Zimmermann (1858) glosses dsase as 'the people about a king'.
The dzaase of the stool met to consider which house should present a candidate.
