According to Ghana's Kundum intangible-heritage nomination, the Ekpunli Baka are the custodians of Kundum music. In the origin narrative they were the first to learn the songs, and today they are a small traditional singing group who chant during Kundum and publicly praise or expose the conduct of community leaders.
The Ekpunli Baka chant while the Kundum drumming goes on.
