Ekumfi is an area of the Fante coast in the Central Region of Ghana, now constituted as the Ekumfi District (established by L.I. 2170 of 2012, inaugurated June 2012) with its capital at Essarkyir. Pineapple farming is the district's main agricultural activity, with fishing carried out along the coast; Narkwa is its most populous community.
