Strip-cloth weaving (Ewe kente) practised in Ewe communities, with Agbozume holding the largest kente market in the region. Ewe cloths are valued for colour, figurative weft-float motifs and techniques such as novi-akpedo and tritriku; a V&A study noted that many Agbozume weavers now produce Asante designs on Ewe looms. Perani and Wolff record that Ewe kente weavers migrated to Senegal and Nigeria in the late twentieth century.
Agbozume is a major centre of Ewe weaving.
