A subgroup of the Kwa branch of Niger-Congo made up of two closely related languages, Ga and Dangme. The Library of Congress country study notes that they descend from a common proto-Ga-Dangme language but are now mutually unintelligible.
Ga and Dangme are the two languages of the Ga-Dangme group.
