A fort on Manfro Hill at Princes Town, built in 1683–1684 by the Brandenburg African Company. GMMB calls it the only fort in Ghana of Germanic origin. After the Brandenburgers left in 1717 the Ahanta broker John Conny held it until 1724, when the Dutch took it and renamed it Fort Hollandia.
John Conny held Gross Friedrichsburg for seven years after the Brandenburgers left.
