Field (1940) names Gua as one of the big Kple gods of Accra, alongside Nai, Sakumo, Korle, Dantu, Okudza and Naa Dede Oyeadu, each with its agba company of attendants. Matczynski (2022) lists Gua among the jemawɔji, Ga deities associated with geographic locations.
Gua is counted among the great gods of Accra's Kple religion.
