The Gur (Voltaic, or Mabia) languages are a branch of Niger-Congo spoken across the savanna of Burkina Faso, northern Ghana and Togo and neighbouring countries. Kasem belongs to the Grusi subgroup, while Farefare (Gurune) belongs to the Oti-Volta subgroup.
Kasem and Gurune are both Gur languages but belong to different subgroups.
