Jongo (Kasem jɔŋɔ) is a Kasena recreational genre of music and dance with drumming. It is performed at celebrations such as weddings, the funeral of an elder, and the end-of-harvest festival. The Kasem dictionary glosses jɔŋɔ as 'drumming; celebration dance accompanied by drumming'.
