The smallest drum of the Anlo-Ewe ensemble. Ladzekpo describes a carved cylindrical body like a scaled-down atsimevu, about 20 inches tall with a head about six inches across. It is played with a slightly flexible stick, held diagonally between the legs, and gives the ensemble's highest pitches.
The kagã repeats a short, high-pitched figure throughout the piece.
