Kanjaga is a Bulsa village. Kröger explains that the British took its name for the whole people after men from Kanjaga were recruited into the colonial army, so 'Kanjaga(s)' became a colonial misnomer for the Bulsa.
Colonial records often called the Bulsa 'Kanjagas'.
