A mid-sized supporting drum of the Ewe ensemble. Ladzekpo describes it as shaped like sogo but smaller and higher-pitched: about 23 inches tall, with a head of about eight inches. It is played with sticks using the same techniques as sogo but with its own vocal syllables, and it typically answers the lead drum in support.
The kidi answers the lead drum's calls with a fixed response.
