An Arabic chronicle of the Gonja kingdom compiled by Muslim clerics at Gonja courts, recording the succession of rulers, wars and notable events by hijri year. Also known as the Gonja Chronicle, it is a principal written source for the kingdom's history alongside oral tradition. Surviving copies date from the eighteenth century onward.
The Kitab Ghunja dates Gonja reigns against the hijri calendar.
