The traditional music and dance of the La Homowo. Marley (2019) states that Kpa is the only type of music permitted during the festival in La and shows how its song texts work as social protest; Matczynski (2022) describes kpa singing groups in the Kpashimɔ processions of Teshie and La that satirise wrongdoing. Kpa is also the name of La's principal deity (La Kpa).
During the La Homowo, only Kpa music may be performed.
