A festival of kple ritual, music and dance. Nii-Dortey's ACLS-funded study describes the Kplejoo of Nungua and Tema as a combined performance of music, dance, ritual and possession drama; Potočnik (2017) glosses Kpledzo as a maize planting and harvesting ceremony. Nketia (1966) notes that at the Kpledzo bells accompany some ceremonies and the full drum ensemble summons the gods.
Tema holds Kpelejoo at the start of the planting season.
