Nai is one of the principal gods of Accra. The UGSpace 'Ga Towns' text lists Nai among the big Kple gods of Accra, notes that Nai has an agba company and an agbafoatsɛ who installs the Nai wulɔmɔ, and that Nai is last in the corn-planting order. Robertson (Encyclopedia of World Cultures) refers to the priests of the 'Sakumo, Korle, and Nai lagoons' as holding supreme judicial authority before the rise of the mantsemei.
