One of the seven Nzema matrilineal clans listed by Korankye and Boaheng (Twea, Ezohile, Alɔnwɔba, Nvavile, Adahonle, Azanwule, Mafole). Community sources link it with maize, but its emblems and Akan equivalents are not academically confirmed.
The elder introduced herself as a member of the Nvavile clan.
