Nyigbla is a principal deity of the Anlo Ewe. Westermann describes it as a war deity of the Anlo and records many praise-names and associated institutions, including a priestess (zizi), a sacred snake (nyagbo) and a sacrificial meal (nyigbladzã). Rosenthal calls Nyigbla 'the deity of the Sacred Forest', very important among the Anlo, and Venkatachalam discusses Nyigbla in connection with Afa and a Nyigbla shrine.
Nyigbla was historically invoked in Anlo warfare.
