Senyon Kupo (Sonyo Kipo) is an earth shrine at Senyon (Sonyo) in western Gonja. The GILLBT/SIL Gonja dictionary glosses Dɛŋ as 'festival of Sonyokipo'. Encyclopaedia Africana records that Jakpa's conquest drew on the support of the local deity 'Senyou'.
