Sokpe ('stone of So') is the thunderstone sacred to So, the Ewe thunder deity worshipped by the Yeve order. Westermann glosses Sokpe as 'Stein des So' and notes that Yeve worshippers keep a round stone called Sokpe. He also records the folk belief that stone axe-heads found in the ground are So's axe, hurled to earth as a thunderbolt during storms, and describes So as a god of thunderstorms and rain belonging to the Yeve cult.
A sokpe is kept among the sacred objects of a Yeve shrine.
