Tɔhiʒee, the 'Red Hunter', a figure of Dagbamba oral tradition from before Dagbon's founding. In Chernoff's 'A Drummer's Testament' (chs. II-1, II-3) the drummer says he roamed to Guruma land, killed a wild cow that blocked access to water, and was given a young woman who bore Nimbu. The drummer adds that his story 'is not inside our drumming', so it is not part of the Samban' luŋa.
Drummers speak of Tohazie, the Red Hunter, as a figure from before Dagbon's founding.
