A shrine-object, image or ritual of non-Islamic worship, and the practice of such worship. Robinson glosses tsafi (pl. tsafuna, tsafoki) as 'idol; idolatry, fetish worship', also used of a bundle of rags put on a stick in a field as a charm. A matsafi is one who sacrifices to such objects.
