A title of a senior office-holder at a Hausa emir's court. Robinson lists turaki among the king's officers (fadawa) in the Kano order of precedence: sarki, galadima, madaki, wombai, makama, turaki, sarkin dawaki and others.
The Turaki was one of the titled officials of the court.
