Wulomei is the plural of wulɔmɔ, the Ga traditional priest. Zimmermann (1858) gives the forms wolɔmɔ, plural wolɔmei, explaining the word as literally 'person of the deity', a class of priests who serve and 'sleep with' the deity, and equates wulɔmɔ with 'highest priest'.
The wulomei led the rites at the shrine.
